Rohde & Schwarz R&S SMJ100A Vector Signal Generator Now Available With Cost-Effective Arbitrary Waveform Baseband Generator
Columbia, MD September 10, 2007 Rohde & Schwarz today announced that its R&S SMJ100A vector signal generator is now available with only arbitrary waveform baseband generators, allowing the instrument to be purchased at significantly lower cost for production test applications in which only pre-calculated signals must be generated. The company is offering this capability, facilitated by options (each with a different memory depth), because there are many applications in which the ability to generate signals in real time or to make frequent changes to signal parameters of the internal digital standards is not necessary. The options retain the excellent quality of the instrument s output signals. The first option (R&S SMJ-B50) offers a memory depth of 64 Msamples, and the second (R&S SMJ-B51) provides 16-Msample memory depth. Users can create I/Q waveforms by using the R&S WinIQSIM or R&S WinIQSIM2 simulation software, as well as with tools such as The MathWorks MATLAB. The R&S SMJ-B50 and R&S SMJ-B51 options for the R&S SMJ100A vector signal generator are available now from Rohde & Schwarz.
