ORBIT Communication Systems Ltd., a subsidiary of Orbit Technologies Ltd., a satellite communications, tracking & telemetry, and communications management systems provider, announced the recruit of Carlo Rizzo.

As part of its growth strategy for the European market, ORBIT named Rizzo to head its telemetry and earth observation business operations in Europe. A seasoned industry expert, Rizzo brings in-depth knowledge of telemetry systems along with over 15 years experience in the sales of consultative system solutions. Most recently, he served as Director of European Operations for a major US-based antenna measurement system supplier. Previously, Rizzo was UK Operations Manager for ORBIT/FR, a former subsidiary of ORBIT Communication Systems Ltd. In addition, Rizzo is a member of the IET (The Institution of Engineering and Technology), the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA).

Rizzo holds a PhD in Antenna Measurements from the University of Sheffield, a Master of Science Degree in Radio Frequency Communication Engineering from the University of Bradford, a Certificate in Management from the UK’s Open University and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of York.

Working out of ORBIT's UK offices, Rizzo will play a key role in leading ORBIT’s efforts to expand its presence in the European market and will act as a prime contact for Orbit’s local European customers.
