LeCroy Corp., a supplier of oscilloscopes and serial data test solutions, announced that its 45 GHz WaveMaster 845 Zi-A oscilloscope was the winner of the annual DesignVision Award presented by UBM Electronics in the Test and Measurement Equipment category at DesignCon 2011. The WaveMaster 845 Zi-A, the world's highest bandwidth real-time oscilloscope, was selected based on market vision, originality of solution and quality of implementation.
"The WaveMaster 845 Zi-A was designed to make it possible for our customers to develop high-speed technologies for next generation data communication systems," said LeCroy President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Reslewic. "Our design engineers broke bandwidth barriers to achieve unprecedented real-time oscilloscope performance. Receiving the DesignVision award is an honor and a testament to the hard work of our design team in extending LeCroy's lead in delivering the highest bandwidth oscilloscopes."
Winners of the DesignVision Award are chosen from among the 2011 finalists selected by a panel of judges comprised from members of the DesignCon 2011 Technical Program Committee. The committee consists of industry experts in the semiconductor and electronic design engineering community.
LeCroy received further recognition for its innovation and expertise with its SPARQ Signal Integrity Network Analyzer, which also was a DesignVision Award finalist. In addition, the technical presentation, "Wavelet Denoising for TDR Dynamic Range Improvement," authored by Peter J. Pupalaikis, LeCroy Vice President and Principal Technologist, has been selected as a best paper finalist.
