SenarioTek LLC, a provider of custom RF/microwave test and measurement solutions, has been awarded a contract by Orbital Sciences Corp., Dulles, VA, to provide test technology to extend the capabilities of Orbital’s installed payload test systems for the HYLAS 2 satellite payload. The SenarioTek solution will provide Orbital the highest level of RF accuracy and performance and reduces the test program risk by better characterizing the uncertainties introduced by the test system.
SenarioTek has teamed with DelSontro Enterprises LLC to provide Orbital a total solution of additive hardware, software, and final integration and validation. The solution includes specialized SenarioTek hardware that extends Orbital’s existing payload test system’s frequency coverage to Ka-band and expands the number of input/output ports. The solution hardware, comprised of a custom converter and a thermal vacuum compatible switching sub-system, will boost power and have the ability to track RF performance changes over time and temperature. DelSontro Enterprises, LLC, will provide the overall system engineering, required system software, and final system integration, test and validation.
“SenarioTek offered Orbital an innovative solution that allowed us to meet the HYLAS 2 program requirements, improve performance and leverage our existing payload test system investment,” said Dave DeTroye, Orbital’s Manager of RF Test and Integration.
