Texas Instruments (TI) announced the availability of the next device in the SimpleLink™ ultra-low power platform, designed to help customers easily add ultra-low power, long-range connectivity to their IoT designs. The new SimpleLink Sub-1 GHz CC1310 wireless microcontrollers (MCUs) offers up to 20 years of battery life for building and factory automation, alarm and security, smart grid and wireless sensor network applications.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced the SimpleLink™ CC2592 range extender that provides up to a 7x improvement in range when paired with TI’s 2.4 GHz low power RF solutions for ZigBee®, 802.15.4, 6LoWPAN and Bluetooth® low energy networks. The first launched pairing is the CC2592 with the SimpleLink ZigBee CC2538 wireless microcontroller (MCU) to speed time to market of ZigBee-enabled equipment.

Texas Instruments (TI) announced the SimpleLink™ Sub-1 GHz CC1200 transceiver, an extension to TI’s RF performance line family. With leading range, co-existence and data rates up to 1Mbps, the CC1200 is aimed at Sub-1 GHz wireless connectivity for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Home Area Networks (HAN) in the smart grid, home and building automation, and alarm and security system applications.

Adding to the family of easy-to-use SimpleLink™ connectivity solutions, Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) introduced the SimpleLink GPS CC4000 solution — the company’s first broadly available GPS solution. The self-contained module minimizes complexity synonymous with adding GPS functionality to products.
