Pat Hindle, Media Director
Pat Hindle is media director for Microwave Journal® and has been with the magazine for 12 years. He parlayed his process engineering background into a management role in marketing communications for several leading microwave semiconductor manufacturers including MACOM, Raytheon and Skyworks (Alpha Industries), in addition to working at MIT Nanostructures Laboratory manufacturing X-ray diffraction gratings for space research telescopes like Chandra. He has a B.S. in Materials Science Engineering from Cornell University and MBA from Northeastern University. In his current role as MWJ editorial director, he is responsible for setting MWJ’s editorial direction and developing marketing opportunities for industry clients. He has been the conference manager for EDI CON China and helped launch Signal Integrity™ Journal plus co-hosts the Frequency Matters videos and podcasts.

Dr. Taro Eichler, Technology Manager Wireless Communication
Taro Eichler is Market Segment and Technology Manager for wireless communications at Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. His main focus is on 5G and beyond technologies for wireless communications. Prior to joining Rohde & Schwarz, Taro worked for Intel Corporation as specialist for photonics communication solutions and for NTT Basic Research Laboratories. He also worked on research projects at The University of Tokyo in the field of quantum optics.He started his research career at the Max-Planck-Institute for Quantum Optics while completing his studies in physics at the Technical University of Munich, and earned his PhD in physics from the University of Bonn, Germany.

Gerhard Schoenthal, COO
Gerhard received his BS in Physics from the US Naval Academy in 1992 and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Virginia in 2003. After graduating from the Naval Academy, he served on active duty in the US Navy for 5 years on the USS Chandler and the USS John A. Moore. After graduate school, he worked as a Senior Process Engineer at Intel PTD in 2003 and 2004. For the past 18 years, he has served in many roles at Virginia Diodes, Inc. the world's leading mmWave and THz test and measurement and components company where he is currently the Chief Operations Officer.
Keysight Technologies
Roger Nichols, 6G Program Manager
Roger Nichols is an acknowledged subject matter expert in mobile wireless communications design and measurement technologies. He has 39 years of engineering and management experience at Hewlett-Packard, Agilent, and Keysight spanning roles in R&D, marketing, and manufacturing. With experience in mobile wireless technology on all five previous generations, he has been directing Keysight’s 6G program since its inception in 2019. He is a member of the FCC Technological Advisory Council and is also the strategic director of Keysight’s work in wireless standards.
Roger holds a BSEE from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Anritsu
Jonathan Borrill, Head of Global Market Technology
Jonathan has 30 years’ experience in the area of advanced RF and wireless signaling systems. After graduating from Southampton University (UK) in electronic engineering, Jonathan worked for the UK Ministry of Defence (now Qinetiq) developing advanced millimetre wave communications systems. After a stint at Motorola as application engineering manager, in 2001 he moved to Anritsu. There, after performing business development and management roles for the EMEA region, he was appointed as Head of Global Market Technology for the corporate T&M business. Jonathan is a full member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng).
