Title: MMIC Filters’ Time Has Come

Date: December 7, 2022

Time: 8am PT / 11am ET

Sponsored by: Marki Microwave

Presented by: Christopher Marki, CEO and Chief Technologist, Marki Microwave

Abstract:

The outstanding fabrication tolerances and scalability of IC processes have made MMICs the technology of choice for nearly all planar microwave components, including amplifiers, mixers, switches, oscillators—even fully integrated transceivers. However, fixed filters have been untouched by the MMIC revolution due to outdated assumptions about performance and availability. In this webinar, we examine the filter landscape and explain why MMIC should be the technology platform of choice for many filter applications.

Presenter Bio:

Christopher Marki is the CEO and chief technologist of Marki Microwave. Since joining in 2007, he has spearheaded the innovation and development of numerous commercially successful products, including mixers, multipliers, baluns, amplifiers, switches, filters, power combiners/dividers and couplers. Under Christopher’s leadership, Marki Microwave has grown over 800% and has established itself as a world leader in classical hybrid RF manufacturing and cutting-edge semiconductor development. Besides his interests in high performance RF components and ICs, Christopher also has made notable contributions in the areas of high frequency mmWave packaging and RF design flow optimization using AI/machine learning. He is an expert in MMIC, thin film and hybrid manufacturing technologies. Christopher holds a doctorate in photonics from the University of California, San Diego and graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a BSEE.
