Qorvo® has earned continued Trusted Source Category 1A accreditation through 2018 from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The company is one of only five accredited suppliers for both gallium nitride (GaN) and gallium arsenide (GaAs).

Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) announced that the company has been honored with the 2017 IEEE Corporate Innovation Award “for sustained innovation and leadership in the development of high-performance data converter technology and products.” This award was established in 1985 to recognize outstanding innovation by organizations across the world, and recipients are honored for their resolve to discover, extend, or complement technological advancements in education, industry, research and service in IEEE fields of interest.

Skyworks has unveiled the SKYA21003, a new CMOS silicon-on insulator (SOI) single pole, double throw (SPDT) switch that is targeted for automotive LTE cellular and general purpose RF applications. This next-generation product is AEC-Q100 Grade 2 Qualified with guaranteed RF performance across extended temperature limits, making it an excellent design choice for LTE cellular telematics modems, remote keyless entry devices, infotainment systems, automated toll transponders, garage door openers, GPS/navigation platforms and other wireless control solutions. 

Peraso Technologies Inc., a leader in Wireless Gigabit (WiGig®) chipsets, today announced the availability of its W120 WiGig phased array chipset for consumer electronics. The W120 builds on the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED WiGig™ W110 Chipset, with support for high-bandwidth applications such as wireless routers, VR devices and wireless displays.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has granted “early termination” of the antitrust review of MACOM’s proposed acquisition of Applied Micro Circuits, indicating that the deal is not viewed as adversely harming competition. The companies plan to close the deal by April of 2017.

WIN Semicondocutors reported November revenue of NT$1,089 million ($34.2 million), which was a sequential increase of 4.3 percent and 2.4 percent greater than November 2015. Year-to-date revenue (January through November 2016) was NT$12,527 million ($394 million), 14.6 percent greater than the same period in 2015.

Microsemi Corp. announced six new monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) products, including four wideband low noise MMIC amplifiers (MMA040AA, MMA041AA, MMA043AA and MMA044AA) and two wideband GaAs MMIC switches (MMS006AA and MMS008AA). The new MMIC products are ideally suited for test and measurement, electronic warfare and radar applications.

Leti, an institute of CEA Tech, presented two papers at IEDM 2016 that demonstrate the elements required to build a competitive 5 nm node with nanowire architectures.

Microsemi Corp. received Huawei’s “Best Quality Partner Award” at Huawei's 2016 Core Partner Convention in Shenzhen, China. Microsemi supplies various communications products to Huawei, including Wi-Fi power amplifiers and front-end modules.
