Avago Technologies Ltd. and Emulex Corp. announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Avago will acquire Emulex, a leader in network connectivity, monitoring and management, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $606 million, or $609 million net of cash and debt acquired.

Linear Technology introduces the LTC5564H, a high temperature grade RF Schottky peak power detector that operates from 600 MHz to 15 GHz, and has ultrafast detection response time of 7ns from a pulsed RF signal. The device has an on-chip fast latchable comparator with a total detection and propagation delay of 9 ns.

Exelis has received orders valued at $7.6 million from ADS, Inc. on behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) program to provide mission command on-the-move systems. The systems will be used for undisclosed worldwide deployments. Called Global Network on the Move-Active Distribution, or GNOMAD, the system provides a broadband, satellite communication (SATCOM) on-the-move (SOTM) networked command and control connectivity.

Keysight Technologies Inc. announced that its E6650A EXF wireless test set for femtocell now supports high-volume manufacturing test for designs using Broadcom Corp.’s BCM617xx series small cell chipsets. The EXF one-box tester delivers the speed, performance and scalability today’s manufacturers need to quickly ramp up production and lower its cost-of-test.
