Coilcraft will be highlighting their newly expanded line of BCL/BCR Series conical inductors at IMS 2015 next week in Phoenix, Arizona. The products are offered in two configurations. The BCR Series has a full-length cap to protect the coil and provide a large surface for pick and place. The BCL Series features “flying leads” to allow precise positioning and adjustment of the mounting angle.

The IEEE MTT-S 2015 International Microwave Symposium (IMS) will debut Microwave Week’s first Wearables + Wireless Pavilion featuring emerging wearable electronics that utilize RF and microwave technologies. Curated and sponsored by Intel and Wireless Design and Development, the pavilion will be located at Booth #307 in the Phoenix Convention Center as part of the symposium May 17-22, 2015.

 The model MFC147 from TRAK Microwave provides 13.75 to 14.50 GHz coverage for civilian and military aviation Ku-band SATCOM applications, including In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems and UAV communications. Input frequency to the Block Upconverter (BUC) is 950-1700 MHz, with Ku-band output of +12 to +17 dBm.  An integrated, low-noise, GaN, Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) provides 25 watts minimum output power providing better than -120 dBc/Hz noise power (-140 dBc/Hz typical) and <-22 dBc spectral regrowth (OQPSK). 

 Isola Group, a market leader in copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), announced the introduction of IS350MD that expands its portfolio of halogen-free laminates and prepregs for high-end mobile applications. IS350MD fits nicely between Isola’s well-established standard dielectric constant (Dk) material, DE156, and the company’s ultralow Dk material, IS300MD, which was introduced in 2014 and quickly gained momentum in the High Density Interconnect (HDI) market.
