Ericsson and Apple have agreed on a global patent license agreement between the two companies. The agreement includes a cross license that covers patents relating to both companies' standard-essential patents (including the GSM, UMTS and LTE cellular standards), and grants certain other patent rights. In addition, the agreement includes releases that resolve all pending patent-infringement litigation between the companies.

COMTECH PST introduces another new Gallium Nitride (GaN) amplifier for X-Band applications. This class AB linear design operates over the full 9.0-10 GHz frequency range and is ideal for use in Phase Array Radar applications, as a TWT replacement or for a microwavecommunication link. 

Anatech Electronics introduced the AD1747-1842D335 cavity duplexer designed for use in wireless communications systems (Band IV).

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that the applicable waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (HSR) with respect to the previously announced tender offer by its direct wholly owned subsidiary, Typhoon Acquisition Corp., for all outstanding shares of common stock of TeleCommunication Systems Inc. at a price of $5.00 per share, net to the seller in cash, without interest and less required withholding taxes and subsequent merger of Typhoon Acquisition Corp. with TCS terminated on December 18, 2015.

Skyworks introduces two new global navigation low noise amplifiers. The SKY65605-21 and SKY65611-21 are both designed for BeiDou/GPS/GLONASS/Galileo receiver applications and are optimized to operate from 1559 to 1606 MHz.  

Keysight Technologies Inc. announced the addition of GSM, GPRS, EGPRS and TD-SCDMA, HSPA test capabilities to the E7515A UXM wireless test set. With these enhancements, UE developers can validate their multi-format LTE devices within a single UXM test set.

JADAK LLC, a global leader and supplier of HF RFID, optical data collection and machine vision technologies to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in medical, security, gaming and kiosk industries, announced that it has acquired the assets of SkyeTek, a Denver, Colo.-based provider of embedded and stand-alone UHF RFID Solutions for OEM equipment suppliers.

EchoStar Mobile Ltd. (EML), a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar Corp., announced that the global wireless standards body, Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), approved Band 65 to standardize additional European spectrum for broadband wireless services.

Harris Corp. has received a three-year, $54 million ceiling, single-award IDIQ contract from the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory to provide electronic warfare (EW) technology and engineering services for the Advanced Decoy Architecture Project (ADAP). The contract was awarded during the first quarter of Harris' fiscal 2016.

Pulse Electronics Corp. introduces an all-in-one combination antenna and proximity sensor package to optimize the characteristics of both functions, thus enabling better device performance and increased design flexibility for tablets, laptops, and notebook computers. The ProxAnt TL 1.0 is a seven band main antenna, a proximity sensor chip, and all needed components included on the same flexible circuit board.
