Anritsu Co. introduces a CPRI RF Measurement option for its BTS Master™ handheld base station analyzer family that can significantly reduce the operational expense (OpEx) associated with troubleshooting interference at base stations. Featuring best-in-class sweep speed and unique test capabilities, the BTS Master-based CPRI RF measurement test set allows field engineers and technicians to conduct accurate RF measurements on Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) while remaining at ground level, eliminating the considerable expense and time associated with calling a tower crew to conduct interference measurements.
Keysight Technologies Inc. added six millimeter-wave models to its family of FieldFox handheld analyzers. The flagship model is the industry’s first handheld combination analyzer to provide coverage to 50 GHz. With more built-in capabilities than similar analyzers, FieldFox can replace three or four single-function instruments – benchtop or handheld – that are typically used for maintenance and troubleshooting of systems that operate at or above Ka-band frequencies.
Signal Houndannounced a significant software upgrade called Spike. The new Spike software allows the SA's to function as real-time spectrum analyzers for sweeps of 250 kHz and less - that means every RF event will be captured when using spans that are equal to or less than 250 kHz. Another improvement is sweep speeds that are up to 8x faster for spans between 500 kHz and 2 MHz. In addition, the SA graphics now include color persistence and a 2D waterfall display.
Anritsu Co. introduced an electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation measurement system for its Spectrum Master™ MS271xE handheld spectrum analyzers and Cell Master™ MT8212E/MT8213E base station analyzers. With the option installed and an Anritsu isotropic antenna attached, the analyzers can be used by field technicians of government regulatory authorities and cellular operators to measure electromagnetic fields, ensuring wireless networks are in compliance with various national standards for personal safety.
Narda Safety Test Solutions has announced a new generation of RF analyzers: NRA RX. These 19” rack mount devices analyze RF signals up to 6 GHz in the frequency and time domains, and exhibit receiver characteristics at the same time, thanks to a new high frequency receiver section.
Signal Hound, the pioneer and leader in high-performance USB-powered spectrum analyzers, announced the availability of a white paper entitled, "Cost-efficient and Extensible RF Spectrum Monitoring & Management".
Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, has introduced a new class of affordable spectrum analyzers based on a USB architecture with a list price of just $3,490.
Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced a series of one-slot PXI vector network analyzers that cover 300 kHz up to 26.5 GHz. The new analyzers offer the best PXI VNA performance on key specifications such as speed, trace noise, stability and dynamic range.
Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced that its FieldFox handheld combination analyzers provide a precise and comprehensive solution for satellite ground station maintenance in the aerospace/defense and commercial markets.
