electronica 2010, which will be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Center from 9 to 12 November, will cover technologies, products and applications across the whole spectrum of the electronics industry from semiconductors and EMech components, test instruments and wireless systems, to embedded devices, PCB related services, optoelectronics and power sources. Automotive electronics, displays and e-signage or digital signage, embedded systems, medical electronics, MEMS, photovoltaics and renewable energies are just some of the topics that will be featured.

As well as a large automotive-related presence within the exhibition itself, there will again be an automotive forum and the very popular electronica Automotive Conference will be staged on 8 and 9 November. The first day will be dominated by strategy lectures by leading managers in the semiconductor, supply and automotive industries, while the second day is reserved for pioneering technology developments and will be aimed, in particular, at technical executives.

The popular Wireless Congress will focus on Systems and Applications. The conference program will illustrate the special importance of wireless applications as a driving-force for research and development in the electronics industry.

Also, Hall B2 will be devoted entirely to power supply technology and solutions, meaning that electronica 2010 will once again present the largest number of power supply manufacturers gathered together in a single venue. Practically every significant manufacturer and distributor of power supply products has reserved space in the Hall and will be presenting power solutions ranging in size from small plug-top units for charging and powering portable devices, to large multi-megawatt inverters designed to convert the output of solar and wind powered renewable energy systems.

hybridica 2010, the specialist exhibition for hybrid components based mainly on the combination of metal and plastics, will also be staged alongside electronica 2010. Today’s hybrid components can be found in almost every electronics market sector and hybridica will demonstrate the potential these devices have for the future.
