AR Modular RF has begun shipping a newly-designed 2RU (3.5 inch) 19 inch rack mounting amplifier system. The system has been specifically designed to run cool with continuous duty cycle operation in harsh environments with output powers up to several hundred watts in the band 200 to 500 MHz. New power amplifier module designs allow extremely fast amplifier blanking such that the amplifiers can be used for CW or Pulse applications. Many frequency options are available from 200 kHz to 1000 MHz.

This initial shipment of 100 W systems operates in the band 220 to 245 MHz, and will be used in simulated combat training environments. The system features forward and reflected power indication on a front panel-mounted analog meter, overdrive protection, full VSWR protection, high speed amplifier blanking and over-temperature protection.
