Ducommun Inc. announced that its Ducommun Technologies Inc. subsidiary, a current supplier of lighted push button switches, time delay relays and TCAS switches to The Boeing Co., has been awarded a contract to deliver the Next-Generation 737 engine start switches. These rotary switches, currently being designed and qualified by DTI’s Human Machine Interface product group, will support all models in production as well as classic platforms, beginning in 2011. The goal of the next generation design is to provide a cost-effective, highly reliable replacement switch for customers of Boeing’s flagship 737 Classic as well as the Next-Generation 737.
