MtronPTI, a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of frequency control and filter products, announced the availability of clock oscillators for down-hole drilling and other harsh environment applications. These 5x7 surface-mount LCC oscillators provide reliable operation with stabilities of ±250 ppm over temperatures ranges of -40° to +200°C. These high reliability clock oscillators utilize unique mounting structures and are capable of surviving the severe environmental conditions faced by the oil exploration market including shock of up to 1000 g and vibration to 20 g’s. In down-hole applications, low power consumption is critical and these HCMOS/TTL compatible XOs will draw as little as 1.5 mA input current with a 3.3 V supply.
