RFI Global Services (RFI) has announced an investment of £2 M by Close Venture Management, aimed at accelerating the expansion of the company's international market presence and allow it to increase its range of compliance and product development services.
Plans include expansion of the company's UK facilities, introduction of key new services as well as establishing a presence in Korea to increase its current Eastern Asia activities as part of aggressive growth within the international market for test and certification laboratories.
RFI is also planning to introduce pioneering international activities throughout 2006 to match the sophisticated test demands of the mobile products emerging from the convergence of mobile telephony, wireless LAN, camera and video capabilities with smartcard contactless terminals.
"We are looking forward to taking advantage of the many opportunities that Close's investment provides," said RFI's chief executive, Stephen Kirk. "We are delighted to be working together with Close and to have their experience on board at this exciting and important time for RFI."
