Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., has received a $2.8 M contract for broadband, solid-state, high power RF microwave amplifier systems from an international OEM.
The amplifier systems, which include the latest solid-state switching and transistor technology, and provide for very broad frequency coverage, will be utilized as part of communications jamming systems supplied to several international end users.
In commenting on this contract award, Fred Kornberg, president and chief executive officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, "Our technology leadership position, specifically in communications jamming technology, in the high power, broadband amplifier area has enabled us to participate in various major electronic warfare application programs in both the domestic and international markets. This contract is another validation of the performance and reliability of this state-of-the-art product line."
