Those still undecided or putting the finishing touches to their paper submissions for the next ARMMS conference being held on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 November 2008 at the Hotel Elizabeth near Rockingham, Northamptonshire, UK, are reminded of the imminent 3 October deadline. This two-day conference, sponsored by Roke Manor Research, is aimed specifically at engineers, researchers and academics working with radio frequency and microwave technology, with fellow engineers presenting papers on a range of subjects at the leading edge of technology.
Steve Cripps of Hywave, a very highly regarded speaker on RF power amplifier technology, will review practical implementations of the Doherty amplifier, which is capable of high efficiency together with good linearity. Ultra low noise oscillators based on a surface acoustic waves device will be addressed by Michel Chomiki of Temex. There will also be papers on high volume manufacture and testing of RF devices and monolithic double balanced mixers up to 40 GHz.
The ARMMS conference prides itself on offering attendees the opportunity to meet the presenters and interact with the other delegates. It is structured to maximize this interaction and the opportunity for networking during the ARMMS dinner on the Monday evening and by having a technical exhibition running alongside the conference.
