European Microwave Week provides an important forum in which TriQuint can engage with existing customers and meet new engineers who can benefit from our wide selection of amplifier and filter products. Since we offer more than 500 designs based on over 20 years of expertise that centres around GaAs, SAW and BAW technology, we are ideally placed to help customers solve their RF front end needs for applications from wireless handsets to network infrastructure.

EuMW is a good opportunity for our professional sales, product marketing and engineering staff to meet with European customers and colleagues, to participate in the conferences and to discuss new product innovations.

The location of any trade show is crucial to its success as a sales and marketing venue. Anyone who regularly attends trade shows paired with conferences knows that the major factors that attract attendees include the quality of the technical program and the host city’s relationship to the industry as a whole, as well as its desirability as a destination outside its relevance to electronics manufacturing. Feedback that we have received indicates that Munich is a strong draw given the large number of electronics firms based in Germany and the city’s international appeal as a travel destination.

From a company perspective, our engineering group enjoys the chance to participate in EuMW panel discussions and to present papers. We are impressed by the effort that goes into providing an interesting range of viewpoints on issues within the microwave community. Technical content remains strong and debate in the panel sessions is often lively. It is also a good forum in which to hear the ideas and initiatives of competing firms via their engineering staff and not just from the usual marketing material.

From an exhibitor’s point of view we believe the biggest challenge faced by EuMW, and every trade show venue, is the perception of the value it provides for delegates and exhibitors alike. Delegates want to unearth information about the latest products that could benefit them in their quest to build next-generation devices, or to help meet the challenges they are facing in production or manufacturing. Exhibitors want to see their stands visited by purchase-ready individuals/engineers who are looking for good, product-focused ideas. They also want to meet with people who can help their companies generate new revenue or who can begin the communication process that may lead to future business relationships.

Both exhibitors and delegates could benefit from greater technical program content that focused on problem solving in the manufacturing setting and the challenges of taking engineering innovations into production, in addition to the staple of microwave theory panels that have long made up the conference content.

Overall, TriQuint values the experience EuMW brings our company, especially given the location, right across the street from our Munich Design Centre! To find out more and to see our latest products, visit Stand 400/402.
