Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $5.9 M under its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the US Army. Total orders received to date against the $463.2 M MTS contract increased to $404.7 M.
The orders are for the supply of Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, installation kits, technical support services and satellite network bandwidth to support ongoing MTS Program activities in the United States and abroad. Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
