Harris Corp., an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum value of $422 M to supply the Department of Defense with its Falcon® high frequency multiband radio systems.
The contract includes an initial delivery order for the US Army valued at $104 M.
The contract calls for Harris to deliver Falcon II AN/PRC-150(C) HF manpack radios and related vehicular and base station systems, as well as installation and training, over five years. Deliveries will begin later this summer. “This is a great contract award for Harris. We have a long history of supporting the Army with battle-tested, beyond line-of-sight HF radio equipment and we are pleased to continue this relationship,” said Dana Mehnert, president, RF Communications Division, Harris Corp. “Harris is committed to providing a wide range of tactical radio solutions and support to the Department of Defense.”
