Baseband Generator and Fader
The R&S AMU200A provides both a baseband signal generator and a two-path real time fader in a single instrument. Due to its modular design, it can also be configured exclusively as a fading simulator or as a baseband signal generator. Equipped with up to two fading simulators, the instrument can be used for channel simulation in the baseband. Features include up to 20 fading paths per channel (40 in total), time resolution of 0.01 ns, and predefined static and dynamic fading profiles. It also functions as a flexible baseband source for tests on baseband components of broadband communications equipment and generates signals for all of the important digital standards such as WLAN, WiMAX, GSM/EDGE, 3GPP FDD, HSPA and LTE.
