Eagle Comtronics is pleased to present four new products at this year’s IEEE MTT-S show. The product represents a portion of the product range presently offered by Eagle.

SBLP Series – Switched Filter Assembly Filters

Eagle Comtronics is extending its support of SONET/SDH customers by offering model SBLP-2-SP-SF/SF-X five channel switch filter bank. This unit provides four filtered channels and one through path for compliance testing. Four (4) pole Bessel-Thompson filters for OC-1, OC-3 (STM-1), OC-12 (STM-4) and OC-48 (STM-16) provide accurate pulse reproduction and optimized passband group delay characteristics.

Unit comes standard with single input/output connectors, TTL control and LED indicators in 1.12 X 2.5 X 4.5 package.

BLP Series – 4th Order Bessel Low Pass Filters

Eagle Comtronics offers a complete line of 4th Order Bessel low pass filters. The linear phase response of these filters makes them ideal for lightwave receivers and applications where pulsed system testing is required. Where high BERT is necessary, these filters reduce the effect of higher order distortion and are essential for SDH/SONET optical receivers.

These Bessel (Bessel-Thompson) filters offer the advantage of a flat linear phase response, with an attenuation response between a Butterworth (maximally flat) and a critically damped filter. The frequency performance values for an Optical Reference Receiver defines the transmitted data rate to 3 dB cut-off frequency and is used for high speed optical data rates.

Model JBP Series – Jitter Bandpass Filters

Eagle Comtronics is pleased to offer its JBP series of five-section Jitter bandpass filters, specifically designed for use in digital network measurement systems. The stopbands extend to the third harmonic, as well as down to DC, allowing for suppression of any harmonic or sub-harmonic frequency. The primary use of these filters is to suppress the harmonic content of the reference clock and the recovered clock signals.

Model EHLP Series High Power Low Pass Filters

Eagle Comtronics is pleased to offer its EHLP series of high power, low pass filters, specifically designed for the broadcast VHF and UHF bands. These filters are used to reject the second and third harmonic frequencies in broadcast systems, with minimal impact on transmitter performance.

They are typically placed between the system antenna and isolator, preventing any undesired harmonics, spurious transmissions and IM products from being broadcast. Units come standard for indoor use, but can be equipped for outdoor and tower mount applications.
