Aeroflex Opens ATE Facility in Shanghai

To support users in the Asia Pacific region Aeroflex has opened its Test Applications Group in Shanghai, China.

This test programming and fixturing facility supports the company’s 4200 Series, 5200 Series and the 5800 Series Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) systems. It will offer full In–Circuit (ICT), Manufacturing Defects Analyzer (MDA) and Functional Test Solutions.

By being physically located in the APAC region, Aeroflex has the flexibility to provide local service and lifetime support contacts to its customers. With this new support facility the company is demonstrating that it is not just supplying products to the region but is fully embedded.

In particular, the new test applications group allows Aeroflex ATE customers, who have expanded into low cost manufacturing in the Asia Pacific region, the ability to reduce the cost of ongoing capital investment support.

The group can quickly develop and modify test fixtures and test programs to ensure customers a minimum downtime in the fast moving, high volume manufacturing test environment. In addition, the facility will house spare parts for all the company’s ATE products to make sure service contract commitments can be quickly fulfilled.
