First Things First:

RF to Light index for the week ended March 9, 2007. The RF to Light 100 index rose 1.9% to 2503, YTD +2%, regaining 1/3 of the previous 6% fall. NASDAQ up 0.8%. The RF semiconductor market segment took the lead with a 3% gain, up 12% for the year. I recorded more financials quarters ending Dec. 06, confirming the trend: financial strength up but with a downward trend, revenue trend down, total cash down, free cash flow down.

In the News:

Economic indicators remain comfortably above last summer’s lows, U.S. growth prospects are still reasonably positive, and investors rediscovered their appetite for risk, pushing Dow, S+P 500 and NASDAQ higher. Dover acquired Pole-Zero for an undisclosed amount. Billionaire George Soros’s investments include Triquint Semiconductor and Ciena, betting that telecom equipment suppliers are moving up again.
