Ignion has released Oxion™ 2.0, the AI-driven RF and antenna design tool that puts antennas first, simplifies integration and removes the usual roadblocks. Now featuring Automatic PCB Gerber Review, Oxion 2.0 processes and analyzes PCB Gerber files in detail and quickly reports back on integration readiness and optimization opportunities.
Also new, the embedded AI Assistant provides expert-level guidance on antenna theory and helps users interpret the reports and optimize their designs. Fully integrated in the desktop environment, the assistant is available in real time to provide instant, actionable insights.
“Building on the powerful performance prediction and interactive design capabilities, new features of Oxion 2.0 deliver tremendous time savings,” said Aitor Moreno, cloud product manager at Ignion. “Automatic PCB Gerber Review relieves hours of manual design validation, while the AI Assistant gives instant access to expertise that would take many years for an engineer to accumulate. Oxion now accompanies users even further along their journey to achieving perfect antenna-PCB integration.”
Additional new features now available in Oxion 2.0 include AI Design Explorer for adjusting antenna placement, dimensions and clearance. This interactive tool delivers instant performance feedback, with response times of less than one second, to help engineers refine their designs extremely quickly.
There are also enhancements to project management tools, with centralized dashboards to manage multiple projects, compare iterations and access tailored design recommendations. Moreno added, “Oxion continues to grow and the opportunities for scaling are unlimited with the comprehensive help center and academy that provides tutorials and training materials. The resources available in the Virtual Antenna® Academy are developed through our close connection with La Salle University Ramon Llull to provide education on cutting-edge RF and antenna integration techniques.”
