AnaPico introduced the APLC series single-and multi-channel high performance signal generators, featuring very low phase noise, high spectral purity and fast switching in combination.
The APLC covers the frequency range from 9 kHz to 12.75 / 20 / 40 / 54 GHz, and the power output range from -120 to +20 dBm. The SSB phase noise reaches as low as -130 dBc/Hz at 20 kHz offset from 10 GHz carrier. The harmonics and subharmonics are typically -60 dBc and the spurious -80 dBc at 10 GHz. The switching speed is typically 15 us for all band crossings, and this allows for very fast stepping of frequencies in the sweep mode. Analog modulations (AM/FM/PM, Pulse modulation) are also supported.
Up to 4 independent and phase-coherent channels can be offered in a 2HU 19” rack-mountable chassis. The AnaPico proprietary 6 GHz clocking mechanism allows for the construction of multi-chassis phase-coherent signal source systems.
A standout feature of the APLC series is its exceptional phase coherence. Measurements conducted across two channels (within the same or synchronized modules) showed relative phase stability of 0.36 degrees RMS over a 10-hour period. This level of performance positions the APLC series as a market leader in phase-coherent signal generation. For more details, visit AnaPico's product page.
