Complementing Passive Plus Inc.'s (PPI’s) comprehensive range of high Q variable capacitors (air tubular, sapphire, zirconia, PTFE and air plate trimmers) are the film trim and 3 mm trimmer capacitors. Also known as a trimmer capacitor, these are designed for fine adjustments or calibration in RF circuits providing the ability to vary capacitance, allowing precise tuning and optimization of electronic circuits in LC filters, radio transmitters and receivers, quartz oscillators, low noise amplifiers and NMR coil systems.

Film trim capacitors, available in four series sizes for antennas, transmitters, RF and test equipment, are offered in PTFE (standard or high temperature), polyimide, polypropylene, or polycarbonate dielectrics with a wide range of modifications and variations (such as capacitance ranges, terminal sizes and shapes or extended shafts).

PPI 3 mm trimmer capacitors, for NMR/MRI applications/pre-amplifiers, commercial instrumentation, RFID and tunable filter circuits, are available in three series. Capacitance ranges vary at 1.5 to 40 pF, depending on the series. These half-turn adjustment capacitors have a working voltage of 100 to 350 V (depending on series) and are RoHS compliant.
