From September 24 - 26, the European Microwave Week (EuMW) will take place in Paris. At Europe's leading event for RF, microwaves, radar and wireless, Aaronia AG will present real-time spectrum analyzers with waveguide technology at booth 501L in the Paris Congress Center.
With a real-time bandwidth of up to 490 MHz and a sweep speed of 3 THz/s, the SPECTRAN® V6 Xplorer is the new reference in terms of speed. Equipped with waveguide connections, the analyzer allows measurements in the mmWave range that are not possible with conventional cables. Waveguides transmit the signal without distortion or loss. They are less susceptible to external disturbances such as electromagnetic interference, which is important in an environment with many electrical devices and radio signals. As a result, the signal remains clean and the measurements of the spectrum analyzer are not distorted.
The SPECTRAN® V6 Xplorer sets a new benchmark with measurements up to 140 GHz and still offers the advantages of inexpensive USB devices. “We are pleased to present the SPECTRAN® V6 Explorer in Paris, a real-time spectrum analyzer that sets new standards and is optimally tailored to the needs of our customers,” says Thorsten Chmielus, managing director of Aaronia AG. “Our USB real-time spectrum analyzers of the SPECTRAN® V6 series are the result of continuous development work. They meet the constantly growing demands on modern equipment and take into account the increasing complexity of signals. For us at AARONIA, the future of measurement technology lies in flexible, modular solutions for every application, as we offer them to meet the needs of our customers.”
Precise measurements in the microwave range
With millimeter waves, as typically used in satellite communication, radar or wireless networks, conventional electrical cables no longer work efficiently. They can distort the signal and usually cause excessive losses. Waveguides, on the other hand, are specially designed to transport such high-frequency signals effectively. This means that the signal received by the spectrum analyzer remains virtually unchanged.
Solution for automotive applications
Radar distance sensors in the automotive sector determine the distance to objects by emitting electromagnetic waves and measuring the time it takes for the reflections to return. These waves travel very fast, almost at the speed of light. With the SPECTRAN® V6 real-time spectrum analyzers with waveguide technology, these high frequency and rapidly changing signals can be reliably analyzed and evaluated. The new devices are also an attractively priced solution. Thanks to the waveguide connection, the real-time spectrum analyzers from Aaronia AG can be connected to your own amplifier and splitter systems according to your requirements using the waveguides that will be available in the future.
In order to fully exploit the performance of the SPECTRAN® V6 real-time spectrum analyzers, the world market leader from Germany is also presenting its broadband antenna range. Included here are the brand new PowerLOG® horn antennas up to 70 GHz as well as the real-time DF solutions based on the improved and further developed IsoLOG® DF DF and tracking antenna. The IsoLOG® DF 16-10180 with a frequency range of 1 GHz - 18 GHz and the IsoLOG® DF 16-20400 with a frequency range of 2 GHz - 40 GHz, which are currently under development, will also be on display.
