e2v, a developer and manufacturer of high-technology electronic components and sub-systems, is expanding its sales and support offices with the opening of its new Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong. This new initiative recognizes the fact this region already supports significant sales for e2v, and has been identified as a growth area for the company’s specialist niche technologies.
For the past two years the company has had a presence in China with a business development manager based in Beijing. The new Hong Kong office extends this presence, and the remit, to support the whole region. The office also forms a key element of e2v’s new network of four global sales and support centers in Northern Europe, Southern Europe and the Americas as well as Asia Pacific.
The Hong Kong office is headed up by John Brewster, VP sales Asia Pacific, who formerly held the position of sales director at e2v, and is staffed by experienced personnel to ensure it provides a high level of product knowledge and expertise from day one. Its opening was marked with a conference on 17 and 18 January 2007 for more than 20 representatives from distributors in the Asia Pacific region, so that they could meet the e2v team and help put the plan for growth into action.
John Brewster said, “The Asia Pacific region has always been very important to e2v. We have a great network of distributors here supporting real cutting edge design and integration contracts. Our new office will enable us to support our distributors and customers in this region better than ever before.”
