On Thursday, June 20 at 11:45 at the MicroApps Theater, Madrone Coopwood, chief engineer at HYPERLABS will present Advantages of Harmonic Downconverters for Tuned Receiver Applications. Learn about how harmonic down-converters offer unique advantages over traditional mixers for tuned receiver systems. Details will be provided on a 2 to 18 GHz receiver built around a broadband harmonic down-converter.
At the core of the harmonic down-converter is an LO subsystem which incorporates a comb generator that produces a broad spectrum of even and odd harmonics. Each harmonic converts two Nyquist zones of RF information to the IF baseband. This approach greatly simplifies local oscillator design while providing extremely broad RF bandwidth and high linearity in a compact single conversion receiver.
Includes a real-world example of a tuned receiver that integrates a harmonic down-converter.
Since 1992, HYPERLABS has built a worldwide reputation as an industry leader in broadband component designs including: samplers, amplifiers, baluns, bias tees, pickoff tees, DC blocks, power dividers, power splitters, attenuators, terminations and more.
HYPERLAB’s booth will be located at Booth #1749.
