A 100 kHz to 43.5 GHz wideband frequency synthesizer with settable output power from -10 to +25 dBm, very low phase noise, low spurious, and ultra-fast switching speed. The APSYN140-X is available in the compact flange-mount enclosure as well as in a 1HU 19’’ rack-mountable chassis in multi-channel (1, 2, 3 or 4) configuration. Channels can be independently programmed in frequency, phase, and amplitude and are phase coherent.
The proprietary architecture of the APSYN140-X allows exact frequency synthesis with nano-Hz frequency resolution in combination with very fast switching (below <20 micro-seconds over the entire frequency output range). Fast frequency and list sweeps up to 65000 entries can be executed and externally triggered. Basic modulation capability such as pulse and phase modulation is also supported.
The wideband synthesizer uses a high-stability internal OCXO reference. The internal reference can be phase-locked to a programmable external reference.
This low phase noise synthesizer can be supplied optionally with substantially enhanced harmonic rejection. At support output power, the harmonic rejection is typically better than -55 dBc.
The devices have USB and LAN and optionally GPIB interfaces and can be controlled using SCPI 1999 command set.
