MVG announced that Taoglas has enhanced its global testing capabilities with the installation of MVG's SG 24 system at its research and development facility in San Diego. This upgrade demonstrates Taoglas' commitment to the highest levels of engineering, quality and customer service by increasing its testing efficiency and accuracy, enabling rapid antenna performance evaluation and design optimizations.

Taoglas selected one of three sizes of MVG’s SG 24 systems the largest, with an inner array diameter of 3.2 m to accommodate larger devices requiring lower frequency measurements, which increased the capacity of their current test chambers. Testing antenna and IoT systems at lower frequencies can be advantageous for a wider frequency antenna characterization or for troubleshooting lower frequency content from pre-certification testing.

Taoglas provides support and guidance for its customers from the design concept, validation stage, RF simulation and production through to pre-certification testing. With their new SG 24 multi-probe spherical near-field antenna test system, antenna and/or full device measurements can be performed from 400 MHz to 10 GHz, depending on the size of the DUT and frequencies requested for evaluation.

Innovation is deeply ingrained in Taoglas' DNA, and the company actively embraces emerging technologies, manufacturing techniques, and smart materials that enhance the performance of components and devices while simultaneously reducing time to market and costs. Installing MVG's SG 24 system was an obvious move to ensure Taoglas' customers successfully launch best-in-class solutions. The Taoglas team is already appreciating the benefits of this additional MVG test system as part of their network of test labs.

"At Taoglas, we are addressing real-world engineering challenges. Our focus is innovation in product development and how we can better facilitate our customers' needs and make our business activities simpler and more efficient. Integrating MVG's SG 24 system aligns with our mission, enhancing our ability to deliver optimal performance across various applications," said Baha Badran, global head of engineering at Taoglas.

Taoglas has worked with MVG for over eight years and has installed MVG test systems at several sites worldwide.

"Collaborating with MVG is always a fantastic experience. Their team comprises technical support engineering experts and highly knowledgeable sales and customer service teams. Communication remains consistently smooth through-out the entire process, from our initial conversations to installing MVG Chambers in our facilities worldwide," said Baha Badran, head of global engineering, Taoglas. "Their team demonstrates an in-depth understanding of our industry, complemented by a maintenance and support team that ensures Taoglas' Engineering team receives quick and efficient support from the installation stage onward. MVG's solutions and support are crucial for us and will continue to be so in the future."

Paul Duxbury, MVG European sales manager, added, "Our ongoing partnership with Taoglas, now with over five of our systems in use, exemplifies our shared focus on excellence in supporting wireless advancement. We are proud to support Taoglas in their continuous drive to innovate."
