Passive Plus (PPI) broadband capacitors are subjected to standard measurements (capacitance, TCC, DWV) and extensive RF characteristics testing. This guarantees every lot will meet or exceed expectations.

• RF Characteristics: measurements of S-parameters that yield insertion loss, return loss and maximum insertion loss change in any 5 GHz interval on all broadband capacitor lots.

Beyond the standard testing, PPI conducts premium testing, which includes:

• DC breakdown voltage (VBR): acceptance criteria from MIL-PRF-32535 and publications from CARTS (A. Teverosky, 2014).
• Reliability metrics: through hundreds of hours of highly accelerated life test measurements and maximum likelihood estimates calculations, we can provide estimates for MTTF/BX% lifetimes.
