Comtech PST developed a high-power multi-function switch module that can handle RF input signals up to 3 kW. With selection for multiple RF paths and multiple inputs/outputs, the module can be used to select different antennas in a multi-antenna configuration.
The module uses +5 VDC and +12 VDC input, TTL or RS-422 switch control and is hermetically sealed for environmental protection. The module includes BIT/CAL paths and limiters for receiver protection. The module performance has 2 dB maximum for insertion loss and switching speed of 5 μs maximum.
