UltraSource Inc., a supplier of custom thin film circuits and ceramic interconnect devices, has announced the expansion of the company's cleanroom facilities at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hollis, NH. Citing increased customer opportunities and business expansion, UltraSource has commenced building an additional 1,500 square feet of cleanroom manufacturing space. The added cleanroom space brings the total cleanroom space at UltraSource to 6,000 sq. ft. and will allow for optimization of lean manufacturing cells to enhance manufacturing productivity and product flow.
“This expansion marks yet another commitment to our continuous investment in lean manufacturing principles” said Michael Casper, president of UltraSource. “It provides us the ultimate flexibility in our process flow so we can efficiently address our varied clients’ needs.”
The expanded facility will be divided equally into a class 1,000 cleanroom and class 100,000 cleanroom. UltraSource currently has 5,300 sq. ft. of class 1,000 cleanrooms. Official opening of the expansion is slated for December 2006.
