Spectrum Control, a designer and manufacturer of electronic control products and systems, has announced the acquisition of JDK/USA, a company based in Grass Valley, CA that designs and manufactures high precision co-molded plastic potentiometers and assemblies.
It is envisaged that this new line of rotary and linear potentiometers will present new market opportunities for Spectrum as it serves various commercial and military applications. The acquisition is seen as a natural complement and extension to Spectrum's EMI-Product line.
In particular, Spectrum's co-molded process provides a hard smooth surface resulting in an ultra long life and excellent electrical performance in all environments. Major opportunities are to be found in medical and meteorological instruments, robotics, civil and military avionic control systems as well as missile programs. Linear and rotary potentiometers are available as well as assembly kits and custom solutions.
