Conveniently check metering installations

The Metis-I and Metis-II wireless modules are among the innovative Würth Elektronik solutions for metering. In addition, the manufacturer is now launching the wireless M-Bus analysis tool "Metis Analyzer Plug wM-BUS" on the market. It includes a radio module with USB plug and the associatedsoftware. Connected to a notebook, the Wireless M-Bus Analyzer becomes a tool for receiving and parsing wireless M-Bus telegrams that comply with EN 13757-4:2013 and are sent from devices with the role "meter" or "other". Würth Elektronik thus provides developers and integrators with a convenient tool for error and range analysis of M-Bus devices.

The Metis Analyzer Plug supports both unencrypted and encrypted measurement data transmissions (Telegramme) according to the Open Metering System specification and the EN13757-3:2013 standard. The data records including the M-Bus application layer in the telegrams are displayed in plain text using the integrated parser. This facilitates and accelerates the interpretation of the content and at the same time allows the configuration settings and meter readings to be checked. Thanks to the simplified presentation and an integrated logging function, the data can also be analyzed at a later date.  With the S-, T- or C-Mode, different wireless M-Bus modes are supported.
