Anokiwave, Inc. announced the appointment of Ryan Jennings as vice president of Satcom and Systems. In this role, Mr. Jennings will be responsible for growing the satcom customer base as well as defining and leading the architecture for their future satcom products. This appointment comes at a strategic time for Anokiwave as the satellite communications industry is poised for growth with multiple high-capacity systems either already on-orbit or planned for the near future as operators aim to provide broadband service to every corner of the world.
Anokiwave leads the industry with its portfolio of satcom Ku- and K/Ka-Band beamformer ICs with a rich digital core that simplify active antenna designs. Our satcom portfolio enables a new world of ubiquitous global satcom connectivity with cost and performance improvements that make flat panel satcom arrays a commercial reality. Coming generations of satcom products will continue to provide cost-effective and high performing solutions for the many use cases that will emerge in this market.
Jennings joined Anokiwave in June 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience leading mission-critical technology efforts for commercial, intelligence, and defense customers in many roles ranging from Principal RF Systems and antenna engineer to senior manager responsible for phased array systems for high data rate communications.
“Ryan has decades of experience in developing the business, market and product roadmap for innovative electronically steered flat panel antennas and terminals for satellite communications," states Ian Gresham, Anokiwave chief systems engineer. “His background and insight into the satcom market and customers will refine and continue to drive our aggressive strategy to deliver the technology needed for satcom terminals in this explosive market.”
Jennings received a B.S. degree in electrical, electronics and communications engineering from the University of Kentucky and an M.B.A. with a focus in executive leadership from Regis University. He holds several phased array related patents.
