During EuMW, Link Microtek, an RF and microwave specialist, was appointed as exclusive representative in the UK and Ireland for Narda Satellite Networks, part of L-3 Communications Corp. With its business focused primarily on the military and commercial satellite communications markets, Narda Satellite Networks manufactures high-quality subsystems such as up and down converters, protection switches, low noise amplifiers and video transmission products.
Commenting on the new agreement between the companies, Frank Carroll, director of international sales for Narda Satellite Networks, said: "Link Microtek has been a highly valued and respected representative for other Narda divisions for over 10 years, so it was the natural choice for us in the UK and Ireland. With a well educated, technically oriented sales force, Link is well placed to provide the high levels of service that our customers need." Carroll anticipates that Narda Satellite Networks' M2 series and V2200 series converters will be particularly successful products for Link in both broadcast and military applications.
Link Microtek's technical director, Hugo Bibby, said: "Narda Satellite Systems has a 35-year history of manufacturing high-quality SATCOM components, and we are delighted to have been appointed as the company's representative. Their subsystems dovetail neatly with our existing product portfolio and we already have experience of working in their key market sectors, so we are confident that this will be a mutually beneficial relationship."
