RFMW announced design and sales support for an S-Band transistor from Qorvo. The QPD1881L power transistor offers 400 W of RF power from 2.7 to 2.9 GHz in an air-cavity package. With 75 percent power added efficiency, the QPD1881L runs from a 50 V consuming 700 mA. L3 gain 18 dB. The RF input is prematched for civilian and military radar applications supporting both CW and pulsed operation.
