RFMW announced design and sales support for a family of ultra-linear GaAs pHEMT 75 Ohm RF balanced amplifier ICs from Qorvo. With 5 to 1218 MHz operating bandwidth the devices feature high linearity, high gain and low noise for use as post amplifiers in optical receivers or as a low noise balanced preamps. The ICs use a 5 V supply for applications requiring lower power dissipation. Due to their wide operational bandwidth they can also be used as downstream amplifiers in DOCSIS 3.1 as well as upstream amplifiers for DOCSIS 3.1 or DOCSIS 4.0 applications. Gain ranges from 12 to 21 dB.
