Adding to its 5G portfolio, Skyworks has introduced an antenna aperture tuning switch. The SKY5™−9269-702LF is a single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) switch covering 600 MHz to 6 GHz, designed for LTE Advanced Pro and 5G mobile platforms.
The 16-state switch can be used for either series or shunt tuning applications. Depending on the register setting, the antenna port can be connected to one of the four switched RF outputs or to multiple pre-defined outputs simultaneously, while the other RF ports are isolated from the antenna port. Switching is controlled using an integrated Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI), v2.0 decoder.
The SKY59269-702LF has very low RON (1.4 Ω) and COFF (104 fF) and high VPK, designed to sustain 80 V typical peak voltage without breakdown. Switch linearity is specified as +155 dBm IP2 and +90 dBm IP3.
The SKY59269-702LF is assembled in a 12-pin, 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm x 0.45 mm QFN surface-mount package.
This new aperture tuning switch is part of Skyworks’ Sky5 portfolio, fully-integrated in the Sky5™ Ultra and Sky5™ LiTE platforms.
