RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a WiFi 6 (802.11ax) front end module (FEM). The Qorvo QPF4588 integrates a 5 GHz power amplifier (PA), regulator, single pole two throw switch (SP2T), bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA), coupler and power detector with optional DC voltage or RF signal output into a small 5 x 3 mm package. Designed for access points and wireless routers in the 5150 to 5925 MHz frequency range, the QPF4588 offers 33 dB of Tx gain and 16 dB of Rx gain with LNA noise figure of 2.0 dB. Integrated 2.4 GHz filters provide rejection on the receive path to reduce system-level filtering. Performance is focused on optimizing the PA for a 5 V supply voltage that conserves power consumption while maintaining the highest linear output power and leading edge throughput.
