HRL Laboratories LLC was awarded a $9,155,987 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for a millimeter wave GaN maturation program. The work will be performed by HRL Laboratories in Malibu and Huntington Beach, California, with an expected completion date of April 2020.

The contract resulted from a competitive solicitation using a broad agency announcement (HR001116S0001) from DARPA's Microsystems Technology Office office. 138 proposals were received.

Of the total contract value, DARPA has obligated $1,208,000 in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds. The contract number is HR0011-19-C-0006.
