Infinite Electronics Inc. announced the appointment of Penny Cotner as president and CEO, effective immediately. Current CEO Terry Jarnigan is moving to the role of executive chairman. As CEO, Cotner will take full leadership responsibility for all aspects of the company.
Under Jarnigan’s leadership, Infinite Electronics has experienced explosive growth reflected by major expansion of product lines, deep investments in technical resources and multichannel marketing to communicate with engineers worldwide.
The company has grown from a single brand and one location, with less than 100 employees, to over 1,000 employees offering 12 highly recognized brands to more than 175,000 customers. With the recent additions of L-com, KP Antenna, Transtector, Polyphaser, Radiowaves, Kaelus, Integrated Network Cables and ShowMe Cables, the company has extended its range of service, capability and commitment to customers across the electronic components and assembly spectrum.
Jarnigan said, “Penny is uniquely qualified to continue Infinite’s journey. Her extensive background in engineering, sales and marketing, combined with a deep knowledge of our customer base, business model and strategic direction, has positioned her and the company for great success. I am very excited for her to take Infinite to its next level and for the opportunity to continue to work with Penny and the executive team in my new role.”
Cotner joined Infinite in 2013 as the VP of sales and service for Pasternack, the original Infinite brand. She most recently served as chief revenue officer for the company and was responsible for all revenue generating processes within the organization, driving strategy and coordination across the key functions of product management, R&D engineering, marketing and sales. Under her leadership, the company has enjoyed consistently high revenue growth.
Cotner has worked more than 25 years in the electronics industry, holding engineering and leadership positions at Hughes Aircraft Company, Rockwell’s Space Station program and Arrow Electronics. She holds a BSEE from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
“I want to thank Terry, our exceptional executive team and our board of directors for their confidence in me and their passion for taking Infinite through its next phase of growth,” said Cotner. “I joined Infinite because of its differentiation, strong focus on serving our customers with product on the shelf shipped same-day and for the opportunity to participate in building something genuinely unique in our industry. As I take the role of CEO today, I’m truly excited to build on that foundation, accelerate our growth and raise the bar even further on our performance and commitment to our customers. It is an honor for me to serve Infinite in this new capacity.”
