Ampleon announced an addition to its lineup of high-power LDMOS RF transistors suitable for use in continuous wave (CW) RF energy applications, well-suited for a range of commercial and consumer cooking, industrial, scientific and medical applications.
The BLC2425M10LS250 power transistor is highly efficient, achieving up to 69 percent drain efficiency and providing up to 250 W output power across the 2400 to 2500 MHz frequency range. Broadband performance offers ease of control and flexible operation, and its high efficiency — believed to be best-in-class for an LDMOS device operating in this frequency range — helps keep the need for cooling to a minimum, while lowering energy costs.
The BLC2425M10LS250 has internal input and output matching and is rugged, with ESD protection and capable of withstanding a load mismatch up to 20:1 VSWR. It is assembled in a plastic, air cavity, SOT1270-1 earless flange package. These features support system design and integration and simplify the need for additional device protection circuitry.
