NuWaves Engineering announced that the company has been selected for a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase I award for the S-band Transmit/Receive module Advancements For Efficient radars (STRAFE).
The 6-month Phase I project will involve research and development activities resulting in an innovative Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) architecture that, once fully developed, will be integrated into a high performance transmit/receive module that will be delivered to the U.S. Navy during Phase II.
“NuWaves looks forward to working with the Navy to advance the state of the art in SWaP for mobile radar applications with the STRAFE program,” said Jeff Wells, president and CEO of NuWaves Engineering. “Our team is excited to define a new benchmark for transmit power density and provide a game-changing capability to support the Warfighter.”
