LPKF Laser & Electronics has announced it will be demonstrating its in-house rapid PCB prototyping equipment at the IMS2018 exhibition, which takes place June 12-14 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

The ProtoMat S103 is a desktop prototyping system designed to help microwave engineers make PCB prototypes in minutes or hours, instead of waiting for a design to come back from the board house weeks later. Standard features unique to the system include a vacuum table for reworking damaged PCBs and securing delicate or flexible materials, as well as a non-contact depth limiter, or air-foot, which ensures nothing comes in contact with the board material but the tool. The LPKF ProtoLaser U4 is a compact and safe to operate rapid prototyping system. The advanced laser technology and optics result in shortened development time and simple data handling for rapid metal removal, drilling and cutting, making the ProtoLaser U4 an ideal solution for RF and microwave PCBs.
